About George Blakely
George E. Blakely serves as Visual Director for the JP McCaskey Marching Band from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. At JPM he serves as Drill Designer and coordinates the visual program. Prior to this appointment he owned and managed an Independent Apple Specialist Store. His diverse background includes serving as the co-creator of the Warner Bros. 3D Drill Design project, educational consultant and considerable public and private school teaching throughout the Eastern United States.
George is also an award-winning drill designer who has been commissioned by bands and Drum and Bugle Corps across the country. He is well known as a composer and arranger of marching percussion music. His music continues to be performed by numerous award winning marching bands. George’s clients have included: Penn Manor High School, Seminole High School , Lancaster Catholic High School, Syracuse University, University of Virginia, Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, and Teal Sound Drum and Bugle Corps.
George has recently presented clinics on Leadership, Visual Design and Marching Percussion. He is in demand as a designer and clinician across the US.
He currently resides in Venice, Florida.
